The Cultural Imperative

This publication dives into the work and practice of three artists from a non-Western heritage. By answering questions about their cultural identity in relation to their creative identity, this book raises questions about the biased, Eurocentric system artists are taught to function in, the beauty of embracing difference and the importance of hearing voices we have been systemically taught to ignore.
