Tenfold Knottiness

Tenfold Knottiness explores projections of ten-crossing prime knots- forms that, much like prime numbers, can't be simplified further. Of the 165 tenfold prime knots, this project presents a selection to showcase their structural variety. Each knot is both a topological object and a three-dimensional structure, revealing how repetition and modularity can drive generative variation. The knot projections are printed using a thermal receipt printer, emphasising the relationship between systematic repetition and the ephemeral nature of the material output.
