Antimacassar
Emulating the form of what is made to prevent it ' Antimacassar explores themes of wear, erosion, and our treatment of the objects we possess and handle. Materials bear the marks of time, contact, the conditions of the environments they inhabit, and the marks they obtain can carry the knowledge of those encounters. This publication looks at wear as an addition, not subtraction of value ' a new presence in the absence of what was before. Through reflection on the 'loved' objects that surround us, Antimacassar suggests a kinder glance at their un-mint condition.
