Run Through The Stone (Type Specimen)

Publication

Publication

Run Through The Stone is a typeface inspired by Arsenal Football Club’s former ground, Highbury Stadium. Drawing on the building’s distinctive features and characteristics, the design celebrates a legacy created between players and supporters, which remains a rich part of Arsenal’s history. This year marks twenty years since the move, and as new memories are made at the Emirates, the days at Highbury feel increasingly distant. For someone like me, who was too young to experience them firsthand, the typeface offers a way to connect with that era and a chance to celebrate those twenty years. The type specimen publication presents the type in its intended use while also exploring the design process.

Football Fanzine History

Publication

Football Fanzine History explores how the decline of football fanzines has affected fan identity and football subcultures. This eighty-page publication follows five conversations with those who have experienced the decline first-hand, such as editors and former editors of well-known club fanzines like the Leyton Orientear and King of the Kippax. Alongside, the book presents an extensive collection of archive material owned by or affiliated with the interviewees.
