MADE IN BETWEEN explores how cultural identity is translated and reconstructed through visual systems between local culture and global visual language.
Using local Taiwanese visual elements, signboards, the collection redesigns it through Kai-, Hei-, and Song-style Chinese typography as visual motifs for cultural exclusivity, global accessibility, and negotiation between the two.
Through these approaches, the collection presents different forms of cultural readability, revealing how identity is continuously reshaped through globalization while responding to the growing homogenization of contemporary streetwear aesthetics.

TIÂNN & THIS IS NOT explores how East Asian scripts and symbols are misread within global streetwear culture through branding and garment design.
TIÂNN takes its name from the Taiwanese pronunciation of Dadaocheng, a historic district in Taipei shaped by trade and cultural exchange, challenging the convention of using English as a brand name.
THIS IS NOT exaggerates misrecognition, where Asian scripts and symbols are often detached from their original meaning and consumed as a visual style. The cap “THIS IS NOT A LABEL” transforms Zhuyin that forms the brand’s name into a symbol referencing both the letter A and traditional Asian architectural silhouettes, creating visual confusion that exposes how cultural elements are flattened once removed from their context.
